A close friend of Hara shared photo of the wine in question on Instagram as well as the message, "Hara, who's no different than my daughter, thank you for the gift." One netizen then asked if there was an engraving on the wine bottle, which Hara's friend confirmed.

It then became an issue as the netizen claimed, "That's a birthday gift to Hara from her fans." The wine is said to cost approximately $130 USD. Some fans stated, "The price isn't what's important. It's the fact that she gave away a gift that we put our hearts into."

Hara's agency KeyEast Entertainment has stepped in to say, "The fans may be disappointed from their point of view, but Hara is unable to drink alcohol so she gave the gift away to an acquaintance during a meal."

What are your thoughts on the situation?

  1. Hara

GOO HARA does 'cover' of 'FRIENDS' song for her K-pop Fans! ... ;-)

thealigirl8 Wednesday, May 18, 2016

Instead of the fans, I think that person who received the wine might be a little disappointed if Hara hadn't told her it was a re-gift

krell thealigirl8 Wednesday, May 18, 2016

(Joking) It all DRINKS the same! ... ;-)

Isn't Hara drinking buddies with Lee Hyori?

sototallyrandom Tuesday, May 17, 2016

But why give an alcoholic beverage anyway. They should have given vitamins or like something Hara can really benefit from. Lol these fans.

beyondordinary sototallyrandom Wednesday, May 18, 2016

HAHA I agree

wally_whitsett Tuesday, May 17, 2016

If she wasn't going to drink it, which she shouldn't. It's better then throwing it away. Stars can't eat or drink any thing from fans. Because a fan might not be a fan, and it can be dangerous.

wally_whitsett Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Haha, so give it to someone else and see if the die.

LOL, you got a point. I was about to post an angry comment. XD

krell wally_whitsett Wednesday, May 18, 2016

LOL ; Your observation is amusing. Plus, maybe a big and successful Agency needs to have an EMPLOYEE who is "THE OFFICIAL FOOD TASTER" ... ;-) ... (Joking) 'Better' to have the SUPPORT STAFF 'poisoned than the IDOLS! ... ;-)

krell wally_whitsett Wednesday, May 18, 2016

Actually, no joke that a UKRAINE political person got fed like RADIOACTIVE liquid by a political opponent during a 'reconciliation' meeting! ... ;-)

krell wally_whitsett Wednesday, May 18, 2016

It was DOXIN; maybe NOT radioactive. Anyway, this is the URL on it about VIKTOR YUSHCHENKO --> ... https :// en . Wikipedia . org/wiki/Viktor_Yushchenko

krell wally_whitsett Wednesday, May 18, 2016

(Joking) On the other hand, for GOO HARA to GIFT a bottle of WINE from K-pop Fans by saying "NO IDEA IF this is SAFE to DRINK IT!" ... Might seem a tad 'insulting' to a supposed friend that is being GIFTED ... (LOL) ... ;-)

krell wally_whitsett Wednesday, May 18, 2016

(Joking) And the CARD that accompanied GOO HARA's *GIFTED* WINE BOTTLE read --> ... DRINK at your OWN PERIL !!! " ... ;-)

krell wally_whitsett Wednesday, May 18, 2016

This is about (IDOL) YUN HO and his *poisoned* drink 'gifted' him from a SASAENG fan --> ...

The person on Instagram says she's a friend, Keyeast says she gave an expensive bottle of wine to an acquaintance. They didn't really help her cause. And since when has she not been able to drink?

krell bangeryun94 Thursday, May 19, 2016

On the truth of what KEYEAST Agency said about GOO HARA being NOT able to drink alcohol; NO IDEA here on that; the actual truth of it. NOT sure that it matters that much either; NOT to me anyway. My view; GOO HARA should say *clearly* on her SNS websites (Twitter, etc) that she PREFERS financial donations to a certain LIST of CHARITIES. As I recall now (vaguely), it seems to me that SOME of the AGENCIES actually have EMPLOYEES handle the RE-GIFTING for the IDOLS. So that the IDOLS are NOT involved in worrying about fan gifts to them that maybe they really do NOT NEED IT, or even want it, all that much.

bangeryun94 krell Friday, May 20, 2016

Sorry Krell, she doesn't get a pass for giving away an expensive bottle of wine gifted by fans. I don't know ANY agencies that "regift" fan gifts.

krell bangeryun94 Friday, May 20, 2016

Okay, I will defer to your *better* knowledge on this *re-gifting* issue than me. I guess GOO HARA has to 'bite the bullet' on this wine bottle to some extent ... ;-)

krell bangeryun94 Saturday, May 21, 2016

This AKP ARTICLE speaks of ZE:A Group "Fan Letters and Gifts" being found in a TRASH CAN as GARBAGE THROWN OUT --> ...

marygold Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Idols get so many gifts and they can't keep all of them. Even if she only kept the "special/expensive" gifts, eventually they would be too much to keep up with. I'm sure she gave it to someone she knew would appreciate it very well.

centen Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Surprised at all the people who think she's obligated to drink alcohol (and "can't" is perfectly valid... maybe she takes medication that would adversely interact with alcohol, maybe it just grosses her out. Who cares?). More surprised at her fans who spent $130 on something that so many abstain from, without being sure that she drinks wine.

shyloone Tuesday, May 17, 2016

She cant drink or not allowed to drink are  the two differences here which is the truth

CDOCOOLS Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Stupid scandal...
