Yonhap News reported on May 16 that a 70-year-old Kim's one-story home in Okcheon County, North Chungcheong Province caught up in flames, leading to the death of around 100 dogs due to suffocation.�
The fire was extinguished after 30 minutes, burning down the home's 1,420 square feet of space and nearly everything within.�

It was reported that Kim was breeding the dogs to sell them at a local auction. Police relayed that Kim was out on personal business at the time the fire had occurred, and they are currently investigating the root cause of the fire.�
