On the March 18th airing of MBC's 'I Live Alone', Shinhwa's Dongwan relayed the unfortunate news that his pet dog Goguma (sweet potato), who had appeared regularly during Dongwan's segment on the show last year, had passed away.

When asked about the unfortunate news he had to share, Dongwan stated, "Last year, I filmed this show by going on trips with Goguma, but he passed away 3 weeks ago."
The singer further added, "He had a small tumor in his throat before, but in about a month's time, it grew bigger than a fist to the point where Goguma couldn't breathe anymore. The doctor said that surgery couldn't save him." Dongwan chose to let Goguma out of his misery with euthanasia.
The Shinhwa member also shared that he "was glad to have a record of Goguma from our filmed trips. That was the last time he was healthy."
