During his solo stage, Gil joked about his friends Jang Kiha and Lee Jeok, saying, "They're great musicians but not really great people."�
In particular, Gil complained about having to keep the secret of Jang Kiha and IU's relationship for two years. He quipped, "He's not a good person. I kept his secret for two years. I have loose lips so it was hard to keep the secret for that long."�
