K-Pop is a cultural phenomenon that is sweeping the globe with its addictive tunes, bright, eye-catching attire, awesome choreography, and attractive faces. And this phenomenon can most clearly be evidenced on Instagram, which revealed on December 3 that the K-Pop genre was the most hotly discussed topics all over the world this year!
According to Yonhap, the social media service had broken down the contents that had gone viral into domestic and international categories, and announced that K-Pop was the most mentioned and most commented topic on Instagram across the globe. K-Pop was reported to have surpassed other popular musical genres such as hip-hop, rock, R&B, and EDM.

And as we have talked about prior, the stars within Korea who have garnered the most followers on Instagram are of course, K-Pop idols.
