It has been reported that Tao, who abruptly departed from SM this past April, filed suit against the agency for the revocation of his exclusive contract.

After an investigation by 'Kukmin Ilbo,' it was confirmed that Tao indeed submitted a suit against his former agency earlier today at Seoul Central District Court. The same lawyer that took on Kris and Luhan's case will be responsible for representing Tao. The court date has yet to be revealed.
Regarding Tao's lawsuit, SM released a statement, saying, "With experts and partners in Korea and China, we will respond by simultaneously taking action in Korea and China. We plan to firmly deal with Tao's illegal promotions through lawsuits and other means of legal action."
