It seems like a good chunk of the popular new male actors in this generation are former models and idols. Some may think that breaking into the acting business might be a little easier for them as opposed to completely new actors, but apparently that's not the case.
On the June 8th airing of SBS' 'Healing Camp', model-turned-actor Lee Soo Hyuk talked about getting his foot in the door in the acting world. He shared, "One time, I went into an acting audition, and there was also Kim Young Kwang and Sung Joon, who had been modeling for a while. The production crew told us to do a model walk instead of act. It felt like we were looked down on."
Kim Young Kwang added, "We all went into the audition by brightly greeting each other, but when we came out our moods were not good." Lee Soo Hyuk added, "There are many times we're looked more down upon than new actors."
What do you think about what they said?
