Jang Young Ran's husband, Han Chang, recently opened up about his long hiatus and past marital struggles the couple faced.
On August 6, Jang Young Ran posted a video titled, "Jang Young Ran's husband sold his 400-pyeong Korean medicine clinic and became a homemaker," on her YouTube channel A-Grade Jang Young Ran. The video featured an honest discussion between Jang Young Ran and her husband about the realities of married life and the emotional challenges they've faced.
In the video, Han Chang introduced himself as Jang Young Ran's husband and candidly opened up about their relationship. He shared about his personal struggles and said, "Ever since we got married, my wife has managed all of our finances. She checks all my card transactions and bank records. If I need something, I need to get permission. She does say 'yeah, buy it,' but by then I don't want to buy it anymore."
He further explained, "I'm happy to see my wife doing well and thriving in her career, but there were moments when my self-esteem took a hit. I had to convince myself that her success was partly thanks to my support, and that's how I got through it."

Han Chang elaborated on the pressure he feels as the "Head of the family," and couldn't hold back tears. Jang Young Ran explained, "My husband has been on a break for two months after closing his 400-pyeong (14,233 sq ft) clinic, so I think all those emotions are welling up more."
The couple also reflected on the conflicts they faced while running the clinic. Jang Young Ran confessed, "We fought a lot back then," and Han Chang added, "It even reached the point where I considered divorce." However, they shared they've since moved past those difficult times and now look back on them with mutual understanding, and even laughter.
Meanwhile, Jang Young Ran and Han Chang married in 2009 and have one son and one daughter together. They continue to share the ups and downs of their married life through television and social media.
