However, it seems as though IU was actually the first to wear an affordably priced dress on the red carpet as she was seen wearing a dress from H&M at '2014 Melon Music Awards' held back in November 12. The dress was reported to have cost around $30 USD as well. The flowy dress decorated with flower prints can be found on H&M for $24.95 USD.
And to give a little twist to the dress, the artist made a slight modification to the original design so that it would compliment her figure.

They also revealed that both the dresses that Kang So Ra and IU wore sold out in a matter of days and even products on the shelves are currently out of stock as well.
