Soyu and JungGiGo, who recently released their duo song "Some", appeared on the February 18 edition of KBS' radio program 'Jo Jung Chi and Ha Rim's 2 O'Clock' and talked about their eating styles. JungGiGo also mentioned how he diets.

DJ Jo Jung Chi said to Soyu, "I feel like there's nothing you can't eat," to which she replied, "There are foods that I haven't tried yet and there are foods I don't eat. I can't eat certain soups. I do enjoy Korean food. And it is true I do eat mostly everything, but I don't like foods that have a strong smell."

JungGiGo said, "I really have a mixed diet. I eat whatever I'm given. I even eat expired things." The DJs joked, "Then do you eat things that fell on the floor too?" Unexpectedly, JungGiGo responded, "I do," making everyone laugh. Soyu said, "I eat while savoring the taste, but JungGiGo just finds everything tasty."

In addition, JungGiGo divulged his secret to losing 15 kg (~ 33 lbs). He first revealed his reasons for dieting, "I did it to live like a person. I always liked eating and am the type to gain weight. When I'm not promoting, I eat and play severely, but I'm the type to quickly lose weight when it becomes time to promote again... You can't tell [I gained weight] based on my outer appearance. I don't gain much weight in my face."

He then revealed his personal method, "This is a method that everyone already knows, but I don't eat a lot and I exercise. It was the regular method. I don't hang out with people. If I meet people, I end up eating. When I wake up in the morning, I go on the running machine on an empty stomach and then eat little like two bananas and tofu for about a month and a half to two months. I was almost at critical condition. As I starved myself and only got rid of body fat, I lost even more muscle."

I really wish these idols and idol adjacents will stop giving these teens such shitty advice on dieting, health and losing weight.

"This is a method that everyone already knows, but I don't eat a lot and I exercise. It was the regular method. " ; well said... man... well said. ; while he eats 2 bananas and tofu while cutting , i still eat my 4-6 meals a day. exercise, lower calories, lean proteins with high protein intake (at least 25-35 g each meal), no saturated fats but only healthy fats and whole grains. ughhh so frustrating to hear the story lol..

I swear, why don't the companies hire some dietitians and personal trainers who know what they are doing and work together to help keep the idols' diets healthy, come up with a good exercise plan, and help them maintain a healthy lean weight rather than these extreme comeback diets. ;Some of these diets that idols go on have got to wreak havoc with their systems. ;You would think with all the money invested and virtual control of everything an idol does that the companies would be more proactive in that regard and do more to make sure the idols eat and exercise right, so they don't get sick or end up in the hospital because they weren't getting a key nutrient and really became ill.

Because companies don't care about that. The well being of their idols is second to their performage and image. And that sucks, but tbh idols and MCs really shouldn't trivialize the fact that what some idols do is on the lines of having an eating disorder.

Junggigo only just started under Starship... I'm sure if he requested one now they'd provide him one (granted that was under his contract). But he's not an idol. He doesn't have a "perfect body" image he has to keep up. So I doubt companies would feel as pressured to provide him with a trainer or a dietrition to keep him at a constant & healthy weight (because as unhealthy as it is to lose weight the way he does, gaining and losing like he does really isn't healthy either...) Plus, before he joined Starship he really didn't have much of a company to back him up at all, so he was probably never spared one and never really took it upon himself to hire one himself. Hopefully his contract and ties with Starship extend into providing him with experts who can help him stay fit in a healthy way. :)

what makes it worse is that most people actually "dont" know how to eat properly. some think they do know and STILL dont know how to do it properly lol

Idols shouldn't really talk about their weight loss methods, especially unhealthy ones. Kids would try to follow ;-; I mean I'm 19 and heck this is so tempting xD

Yeah, I appreciate the discipline these idols have with their weight lost, but the methods they use are absolutely unhealthy for anyone (Including themselves).
