During a recent interview, TVXQ revealed their rank within SM Entertainment, stating, "After Director Kangta and BoA, I think we are next."
"Kangta sunbae tries to understand us as an artist, but due to his position as a director of SM, there are things we cannot fully share with him at times, so he has asked BoA to serve as a bridge between the company and the artists."
Yunho stated, "When we were the maknaes, we were busy asking things we didn't know. But now, as sunbaes, we've been giving our juniors all the know-how instead. As a sunbae, I don't think it's necessary to reluctantly act more responsibly, but it's been happening that way naturally with our juniors. Every time it happens, I always feel, 'It really has been 9 years!'"
TVXQ also revealed more about the ranking system within SM as well as their roles in Hallyu. Yunho continued, "BoA sunbae was a pioneer of Hallyu for all of us. She planted the roots in many places," explaining BoA's place as second in SM.
On their own success, TVXQ commented, "We're just some of the first idols of Hallyu." They complimented Girls' Generation and Super Junior, stating, "They started a big path."
