Producer Kim Hyung Suk's companyKiwi Music and U-KISS' agencyNHemg will be debuting a new coed duo next month.
A representative of NHemg stated, "We have combined forces with Kiwi Music to debut our new coed duo The Cheers. They will be releasing their debut single 'YA' on October 4th."
The Cheers is comprised of male member Robin and female member Myungmi. The duo previously showed their talent as students of Ho Won University, where they won the third place prize atMBC's 'College Music Festival' in 2008.
At the time, Kim Hyung Suk was a professor at the college and Robin and Myungmi were his students. After falling in love with their unique musical style, he decided to recruit them into his own agency.
Guitarist Robin has written lyrics, composed, arranged, produced,programmed, and mixed for The Cheers' debut single, while Myungmi worked on the lyrics, choreography, and vocals."YA" and "I'm Worry About U", composed by Robin and written by both members, will be included in their upcoming single.
Kim Hyung Suk stated, "I believe everyone will notice The Cheers' fresh, unique concept and music as they're different from what's out there in the music industry. I expect that, like their name, the two members' music will bring everyone positive energy."
