Singer�BoA recently revealed her thoughts on being talked about as being ranked third in hierarchy at SM Entertainment

During a press conference held for the release of her new 7th album 'Only One', the singer stated, "I honestly didn't know Lee Jae Ryong was affiliated with SM. I met him for the first time when�Lee Soo Man introduced him to me as the maknae of the SM family." She continued, "Honestly, rank doesn't mean much. As you can see, rank is determined by how long you've been with the company."

BoA's goals differ greatly from that of SM's 'Rank #2', Kang Ta. Unlike Kang Ta whose interests lie in production and management, BoA simply expressed, "This is giving me a headache."

Alluding that her heart lies solely in the music, the singer continued, "It's hard enough to devote yourself to the tasks at hand." She let out a laugh as she continued,�"People always ask me, 'What would you have done with your life if you hadn't been a singer'."

In related news, title song "Only One" from BoA's new 7th album is said to be the first self-composed track the singer has released since her debut. The harmony of the strong hip-hop beat and orchestration in the song creates a subtle and mysterious feel.
