The latest episode of MBC's 'The Birth of a Great Star- Season 2' featured the final round in the competition. However, the broadcast received much lower ratings than what most expected.
On March 31st, AGB Nielsen reported that the latest episode for the show which aired on the 30th, pulled in a 12.1% viewership rating. This is higher than ratings for its previous episode which received 11.6%, but considering that it was the final episode, the ratings did not impress.
Historically, the best rating for the show was recorded last year in September with an impressive 17.4%. Many believed that ratings would pass well over the 20% mark as the show is nearing its end for the season. Unfortunately, after the program took part in the MBC labor strikes, and the live broadcast episodes were affected, ratings began to drop.
Other competitors in the same time slot like KBS's 'VJ Commando' and SBS's '100 million quiz show' recorded 11.3% and 7.3% respectively.
