BTS’s V made a heartwarming surprise appearance on the final episode of 'The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile,' highlighting a decade-long friendship with actor and host Park Bo Gum.
The last episode of the KBS 2TV music talk show aired on August 1 and marked the end of its five-month run. The finale was themed "Fridays Are for Music" and featured special performances and emotional moments.
As the show came to a close, Park Bo Gum expressed his gratitude to fans and viewers."Tonight’s final guest is all of you. Thanks to our audience and viewers who have supported 'The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile,' we were able to come this far,” he said.
One of the most touching moments of the evening was a surprise video message from V. “Hello, this is BTS’s V,” he began. Bo Gum told me this would be the final episode of 'The Seasons,' so I wanted to send this video message. He texted me saying, ‘Taehyung, when are you coming on?’ But I’m currently in the U.S. working on our next album, so unfortunately I couldn’t make it. I’m really disappointed and I hope we can film something together in the future.”
V continued, “To all the viewers who have supported 'Cantabile,' I hope the time you spent with Bo Gum became a cherished memory. Also, BTS will be back with a full album next spring, so please look forward to it. Thank you and we’ll work hard.”
V and Park Bo Gum’s friendship began in 2015 when Park Bo Gum became the host of 'Music Bank' on KBS. In a previous interview, V said, “We exchanged numbers when he was MC-ing 'Music Bank,' and as we kept in touch, we found we had similar interests and really clicked.”
Since then, the two have shared many special moments together. They traveled to Jeju Island, supported each other at concerts and events, and often exchanged heartfelt messages online. For V’s birthday, Park Bo Gum once posted, “Taehyung, born to be loved—happy birthday,” along with a photo of the two.
Most recently, the duo appeared side by side at a CELINE fashion show in July as brand ambassadors, once again showcasing their close bond.
Fans are now looking forward to the day when V and Park Bo Gum appear on the same program together and share their real-life chemistry on screen.
