BTS is rumored to be part of Michael Jackson's upcoming tribute album, featuring unreleased songs written in the summer of 2006.
On August 3, entertainment insiders reported that BTS has already recorded a previously unreleased song by Michael Jackson. According toThe Irish Sun, Jackson wrote several songs during the summer of 2006 while staying in a converted cow shed in Ireland with his family.
Although top collaborators had traveled to Ireland at the time to work on the album, the project was left unfinished when Jackson departed the country. He tragically passed away three years later in Los Angeles.
The outlet reported that Paddy Dunning, one of the heads of Grouse Lodge studios in Ireland where Michael Jackson had stayed, revealed that new recording sessions for a tribute album featuring these unreleased songs began last year, and that BTS has already recorded one of the tracks originally intended for the King of Pop.
He said: "The sessions started last year and we have already had the Korean boy band BTS over with us in Grouse Lodge, recording one of the songs."
According to fan siteMJVibe, Dunning also stated that the tribute album will feature around ten additional tracks and will be accompanied by a documentary about Jackson's time in Ireland.
Fans and netizens are already expressing their excitement, anticipating what could be a "legendary collaboration" between past and present icons.
