Singer Jadu recently gave fans a glimpse into her current life, drawing attention with a touching update and eye-catching photos.
On July 30, Jadu posted several selfies on her social media along with the caption, "Don’t let the heat melt your heart." In the photos taken inside a car, she rests her chin on one hand, showing off her youthful appearance. Her two-toned hair, flawless complexion, and playful expressions caught the eyes of many, with some fans comparing her to singer BoA.
Online users responded with comments such as "Is that BoA?", "You’ve given me energy for the day", "Let’s make music, not melt in the heat", "I saw you at the 'Gunpo Royal Azalea Festival'", "You’re so pretty", "It looks like you're aging in reverse", and "You look 25". Many praised her for maintaining such a vibrant look.
Beyond the photos, Jadu has been receiving admiration for her personal life. She has taken on the responsibility of raising her four nieces and nephews following the passing of her younger brother in 2020. Earlier this year, she attended their school sports day and even surprised the crowd with a performance of her hit song "Gimbap."
In a past episode of the TV show 'The Perfect Life,' Jadu said, "My younger brother went to heaven in 2020. My sister-in-law has four children, and it was difficult for her to raise them alone. So my husband and I are helping raise them together."
When host Lee Seong Mi asked if she had plans to have children of her own, Jadu replied, "If it happens naturally, I’ll welcome it. But if not, I’m happy to spend my life supporting my nieces and nephews."
Jadu made her debut in 2001 as part of the co-ed duo The Jadu with Kang Doo, gaining popularity through hits like "Good Bye" and "Gimbap." In 2013, she married a Korean-American pastor who is six years older than her.
Recalling their relationship, Jadu once shared on a variety program, "My husband didn’t speak Korean and I didn’t speak English, but we had the Bible." She added with a smile, "Translation apps have improved so much and they help a lot with our married life. Sometimes, not understanding each other completely can be a good thing."
