On the October 24 airing of tvN's 'The List 2016', the show highlighted some of today's top actors and actress in the K-entertainment industry, who used to be idol trainees!

#8 was no surprise to fans of K-entertainment: Goo Hye Sun! She used to be a trainee under SM Entertainment, before switching over to DSP Media and preparing to debut in a girl group called Ria. But that didn't work out; afterward, she went under YG Entertainment, her current label, and could have debuted as a member of 2NE1! Ultimately, she ended up debuting as an actress whom we love and adore!

#7 turned out to be trending heartthrob Park Bo Gum! The actor, who has a deep interest in music as well as acting, sent demo clips to all major entertainment companies including SM, YG, and JYP, and received love calls from many of them, but in the end, debuted as a actor under his current label.

#6 is another familiar name: Min Hyo Rin! The actress recently got to fulfill her childhood dream of being an idol on 'Unnies' Slamdunk' with the help of her label CEO J.Y. Park. She also has experience promoting as a solo singer, about 9 years ago.

==

At #5 is Kim Sun Ah, who also used to be a JYP trainee! Supposedly, Kim Sun Ah was meant to debut with g.o.d, which would have meant the group would have been a co-ed group!

==

#4 is none other than model-turned-actor Lee Jong Suk! He put a halt to his modeling career at the age of 20 in hopes of becoming an actor, but the label he'd decided to join at the time had prepared a boy group called REAL. Although he was meant to have debuted as the maknae rapper in REAL, differences between him and his group members resulted in him leaving the company, then making his acting debut through 'Secret Garden'.

#3 is Soo Ae, who started off as a fashion model in 2000. Her and her group of fashion model friends received an offer to form an idol group, and she spent 6 months preparing to debut in a 4-member girl group, but ultimately received better offers to debut as a actress.

==

#2 is the lovely Park Shin Hye! The actress actually intended debut as a solo singer much like BoA, and even received Epik High's "Fly" as her debut song during her trainee days. The song was ultimately turned down, and she decided that acting suited her better!

==

Finally, #1 is top actor Won Bin! It turned out, the actor received vocal training during his high school days and auditioned to be a part of H.O.T! He failed due to the fact that his soft visuals did not match H.O.T's then strong image, and received casting offers to become an actor soon after.
