'Produce 101's 'Pick Me' theme song used for an election campaign?

According to media outlet Daily Sports, "Pick Me," the anthemic theme song to 'Produce 101,' was said to have been used in a political campaign. 


Daily Sports reported, "'Produce 101's popular 'Pick Me' was used for an election campaign after consulting with the National Assembly South Korea."


Regarding the usage of "Pick Me," CJ E&M stated, "Because the rights to 'Pick Me' lies with the producer, we are not in any way associated with it."

Netizens had joked, "'Pick Me' should be used as an election song," and, "I think it should be used as the song for an election campaign."
