JYP Entertainment's newest group, TWICE, has been winning over the hearts of fans across the globe since their debut in October. As a group filled with charming personalities and natural talent, it is no surprise that they have been doing well.

But beyond the obvious, does TWICE have a secret formula for their success? According to JYP, the goal of TWICE is to move people twice with their performances.Once through the ears and once again through the eyes � hence their name. We believe these girls definitely hit the spot and have us eager for more.

EXO is short for EXOPLANET, which is the term for a planet out of our solar system. With such a bold name and an enormous group of talented individuals, these boys definitely live up to their name � their performances are out of this world.

VIXX stands for Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis. The term "in excelsis" is Latin for "in the highest degree" � directly translating into Voice, Visual, Value In The Highest Degree.

iKON was created by YG with the idea that the group will grow and mature into something that can one day represent Korea. The "C" in "ICON" was replaced with the a "K" so that the boys may become an "icon" for Korea. 

SISTAR took a friendly approach with their name. Their name was created with the combination of the words "sister" and "star" � superstars with a friendly image.

According to GOT7, their name originated from the fact that 7 is a lucky number and of course, the seven members in the group � "7 people that's got luck."

The name f(x) has many meanings. Firstly, it directly is pronounced as "effects." But according the SM Entertainment, there are two meanings. First it means that the group will be molded by the individuals within the group � as each individual member represents the "x." The second meaning is a bit more abstract. The letter "f" stands for "flower" and "x" represents the female chromosome which translates into "flower girls."

B.A.P directly stands for "Best, Absolute, Perfect" � using all the best adjectives for the word "best."

Big Bang comes from the "Big Bang Theory" which marks the beginning of the universe. Their name represents the "bang" or the "explosion" they will create within the music industry.

SHINee members have explained the meaning of their groups name. SHINee follows the same format of the words "employer" and "employee." For SHINee, the fans are the ones who "shine" and they are the "SHINee."

B1A4 stands for "Be the One, All for One". Besides their simple, creative acronym, the name B1A4 also stems from the fact that one of the members are B blood type and the four others are A blood type.

2PM and 2AM are sibling groups but are known to have completely different styles of music. Their names also reflect their differences. 2PM is an active part of the day, thus their energetic, passionate music. 2AM is when people are getting ready for bed and are likely to reflect on the events of their lives, thus the emotional, touching music.

The Nine Muses were inspired by Greek Mythology in their name. According to Greek Mythology, the Nine Muses were deities that gave artists, philosophers and individuals the necessary inspiration for creation.

Originally, Seventeen had 17 members in the group, but before debuting, 4 members were cut. But according to the group members, the name Seventeen has took on another meaning. The group members are divided into 3 units, creating Hip Hop, Vocal, and Performance parts but are still under 1 team � thus the number 17.

One of our favorite groups, miss A also went a simple but cute approach with the creation of their name. Their group name stands for Miss Asia with the highest rank, A!

Our favorite name of all time, 2NE1, which directly translates into "New Evolution of the 21st Century." Most people pronounce the name as "Twenty One," but if pronounced phonetically, it reads as "To Anyone." Possibly the most brilliant and creative name in the current music scene.
