On December 23, MBC stated that "Cheers!" contains suggestive lyrics for excessive drinking with lyrics such as, "Lets have a drink, after you're done have a glass of water. Everyone cheers, have another drink with me. Always like it was the first time, again until the sunrise."
They also added that the lyrics paint a typical drinking scene, confirming their stance on banning the song.
However, Cube Entertainment also revealed to the media that they currently have no plans on revising the lyrics to the song and they are waiting for KBS and SBS to review the song as well.
Meanwhile, "Cheers!" garnered much attention as it was written and produced by members Minhyuk, Ilhoon, and Peniel.
