Psy was portrayed negatively in a Japanese adult cartoon.
A character in the comic was dressed exactly like Psy, starting from his tuxedo outfit to his trademark sunglasses. Not only so, but his character also shouts "Gangnam Style!" as he violently beats up another character.
That wasn't the end of it as the 'Psy' character also ties up the Japanese female students and 'tortures' them by making them eat Korean food such as kimchi.
Koreans who saw the translated version of the comic expressed their distaste at the portrayal, saying, "This is below common sense", "I feel offended as a Korean", and "This is a low-class move".
