Where are the contestants of 'K-Pop Star 2' headed?

The second season of the audition show is now over with Akdong Musician as the winners. Sure, the winning prize includes money, but the biggest prize is a chance to choose one label out of the big three: SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment.

When Akdong Musician went to YG Entertainment for their training, they gained less-than-stellar results from all three judges, including Yang Hyun Suk himself. In fact, he was disappointed that he took them in again and the results weren't great the second time either. While J.Y. Park loved the song, Yang Hyun Suk and BoA again shook their heads and disagreed with the music.

They then went to SM Entertainment to spend some time with BoA, who suggested they cover someone else's song instead of writing their own. However, it turned out to be a bad choice, as both J.Y. Park and Yang Hyun Suk thought they'd lost their color by singing someone else's song.

After their lacking results from YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment training, the pair was chosen by JYP Entertainment for the Top 2 finals. The result was an incredible score from all 3 judges, who gave them careful constructive criticism, abundant praise, and they ended up winning the show.

On the surface, it appears they had the best results from JYP Entertainment. The label took in the winner of K-Pop Star, Park Ji Min, who joined Baek Ye Rin to form 15&. Baek Ah Yeon debuted under JYP with "Sad Song" and Park Jae Hyung is under contract with JYP.

If they were to select YG�Entertainment, it�would help Akdong Musician to freely promote their music. K-Pop Star runner-up Lee-Hi has shown a wide range of music already in her young career and she's been the most successful from all the contestants of the first season of K-pop Star. On the other hand, there was also the SuPearls debacle.

Out of the big three, joining SM Entertainment seems to be the smallest possibility, as the label never took in anyone from the 1st season nor had a strong relationship with Akdong Musician. However, Akdong Musician has been doing very well on the music charts and SM Entertainment may have some interest in bringing them in.

But it's not just the winners who are being focused on. Runner-up Bang Ye Dam has been receiving a lot of praise and love from the 3 judges, who have dubbed him 'young genius' and 'little Michael Jackson'. Andrew Choi had been BoA's main focus, and Racoon Boys were well-loved as well.
