Recap of Ep. 5: Kyung Joon blocks the door to prevent Da Ran from entering Se Young's apartment. After he drags her out of the building, he demands that she not get depressed and becomes angry with Se Young (Jang Hee Jin). Da Ran brushes aside his advice and goes to the hospital with her head hanging down. Da Ran discovers Yoon Jae's airplane ticket to LA and begins to sob, finally realizing that Yoon Jae had wanted to break up with her. Kyung Joon comforts her as Da Ran cries over the broken marriage.

Se Young meets up with Da Ran, and Da Ran confronts her about the truth. Se Young begins to tell the true backstory of the wedding incident, revealing that Yoon Jae was actually rushing to meet up with Se Young to tell her about his breakup when the accident happened. Breaking Da Ran's heart even more, Se Young pointedly tells Da Ran that Yoon Jae only dated Da Ran because of her pitiful state.

Despite knowing the truth, Da Ran plans to continue the wedding photoshoot with Kyung Joon as one final memory. Meanwhile, Se Young calls Yoon Jae's mother and tells her of his recent car accident, and Yoon Jae's mother decides to return to Korea immediately. Da Ran and Kyung Joon do the photoshoot together though Kyung Joon goes through the actions halfheartedly. With the photoshoot almost complete, Da Ran tells Kyung Joon that she's planning to cancel the wedding and that Kyung Joon can return to LA with the plane ticket. Kyung Joon is shocked and confused with Da Ran, and when the photographer wants the last photo, he goes in for a deep kiss, making the memory more impressionable for her.

Choong Shik overhears Kyung Joon tell Da Ran that he's leaving for America and confirming the break up of the wedding. An infuriated Choong Shik begins to beat Kyung Joon up. Da Ran and Choong Shik arrive home, where relatives and a cake congratulating Da Ran on her baby (a misunderstanding on her mother's part) wait for her. Da Ran reveals the truth to her family, and states that she doesn't want to marry Yoon Jae because he is planning to quit his career as a doctor. Kyung Joon comes in when Da Ran's mother is enraged with her daughter's decision, and later explains that he had visited strip clubs, causing the breakup. The parents agree to leave them alone to tend to their marriage.

Yoon Jae's mother comes in from America and tells Da Ran to postpone the marriage so "Yoon Jae" can go to America with her. As Da Ran and Kyung Joon contemplate what to do next, Kyung Joon decides to reenact the car accident with his body, but at the last minute decides against it. Kyung Joon reveals to Yoon Jae's mother that Yoon Jae had lost his memory and decides to return to America. Da Ran is against it, but Kyung Joon decides he wants to become upgraded and officially marry Da Ran, which makes her laugh. Hurt, Kyung Joon packs up and bids goodbye to everyone, leaving for America. A year passes and Da Ran is at a wedding, where she sees "Yoon Jae'...

Recap of Ep. 6: Kyung Joon responds to Yoon Jae's name, confusing Da Ran. However, Da Ran finally realizes that it's still Kyung Joon with his trademark "Uh oh" expression. Kyung Joon requests that Da Ran officially reunites with him, Yoon Jae, to fend off Yoon Jae's mother trying to matchmake him with Se Young. However, Da Ran refuses, saying she can't look at Yoon Jae anymore after officially breaking up with him. Kyung Joon still tries to persuade her, but Da Ran stands firm with her resolution. Angry and frustrated, Kyung Joon demands that Da Ran pack up her furniture and stuff back in his home. There, Da Ran confronts Se Young, who is hoping to get back together with Yoon Jae, and kicks her out of the house.

Kyung Joon goes to therestaurantDa Ran's parents own, but immediately retraces his steps back, afraid of being beat to death by Da Ran's parents. However, he meets up with Ma Ri (miss A's Suzy) and eats dumplings with her. Kyung Joon's habits make her highly suspicious of "Yoon Jae". Ma Ri meets up with Kyung Joon's uncle and aunt, where she learns that Yoon Jae had bought Kyung Joon's old house. Ma Ri breaks into Kyung Joon's house where she spots Kyung Joon's bed...

Meanwhile, Kyung Joon asks Da Ran for the last time to stay by his side. She refuses, telling him that she's afraid her heart would flutter again for Yoon Jae. Disappointed, Kyung Joon heads to his home where he sees Ma Ri holding out her bleeding arm. Fearful of the sight of blood, Kyung Joon turns his head away, confirming Ma Ri's belief that "Yoon Jae" is actually Kyung Joon. It only gets confirmed as Da Ran comes running into the house, yelling out Kyung Joon's name.

Recap of Ep. 7: Ma Ri faints after hugging Kyung Joon tightly. After Ma Ri wakes up, she confronts him about the truth, to which he replies that Yoon Jae's body can only be with Gil Da Ran. After Ma Ri leaves, ensuring she'll keep the secret, Da Ran tells Kyung Joon that she changed her mind, agreeing to be by his side despite the hardships she might endure. Elated, the two later meet up with Yoon Jae's mother, where they tell her confidently that the two are dating again. Despite Yoon Jae's mother disappointment and anger, Kyung Joon pulls Da Ran out of the uncomfortable spot as the mother leaves them be.

Kyung Joon returns to the hospital as Yoon Jae and begins to overcome his fear of blood with the children. Meanwhile, Ma Ri visits a shaman to help reverse the souls of Kyung Joon and Yoon Jae. She hands Da Ran the talisman and orders her to wish for Yoon Jae to come back. Later, Da Ran visits Kyung Joon and the two go grocery shopping when Da Ran catches sight of her mother. Afraid of the beating she could get, she abandons Kyung Joon but meets up with him later to enjoy his specially made dinner. However, Da Ran is called to meet up with the PE teacher, where he plans to confess his love for her. As Kyung Joon waits, Ma Ri visits and finds a ring Yoon Jae had prepared for Da Ran. Kyung Joon is confused about Yoon Jae's intention and later meets up with her with the ring. As the ring fits perfectly with her finger, Kyung Joon tells her she can start to like Yoon Jae again, and that he, Kyung Joon, will never like her.

kdramacrazy's Thoughts:

[Note : This post reflects the opinions of the author, and not necessarily those ofallkpop.]

I'm in love with not only the Kyung Joon-Da Ran couple, but the twists and turns the Hong sisters are bringing from the 1 year time skip: Ma Ri discovering the truth, and then the everchanging image of Yoon Jae. The unique take with Kyung Joon maturing over the one year, in the body of the man that Da Ran dislikes the most can take viewers anywhere and pretty much leaves me questioning the ending. I like how Da Ran couldn't easily break with Yoon Jae, because it would both belittle the value of love and attachment she had with Yoon Jae, and it still leaves that thorny branch of Yoon Jae's true image and heart. I praise the Hong sisters for taking the Kyung Joon-Da Ran couple to the next level with the new twist of Yoon Jae being somewhat distant to Da Ran right now. Because although their relationship was full of hot chemistry in the beginning, it left viewers questioning Da Ran's faithfulness as she was an engaged woman. Now, Da Ran can begin to distinguish Kyung Joon and Yoon Jae, and when her heart flutters, she can start to draw a line between the two.

What I am not in love with is all the filler and straying from the plot, from Yoon Jae's mother to Kyung Joon's relatives. I know there's probably a lot more to Yoon Jae's family, but I feel like any scene devoted to her and Se Young is minutes wasted that could have spent more on Kyung Joon and Da Ran, Kyung Joon maturing, or discovering the truth behind the body switching. The scenes have felt so repetitive with the two trying to find ways to get "Yoon Jae" back with Se Young. Apart from the cliffhangers and the scenes with the two main characters, I feel like I'm not truly hooked on this show yet though I'm enjoying it for its cute and heartbreaking moments. I'm actually quite interested in the excitement and energy it would bring if "Kyung Joon's body" woke up with Yoon Jae in it and see the sparks fly. But right now, I'll just satisfy myself with the chemistry and trying to figure out the truth behind Yoon Jae.
