2NE1 performs for 2,000 fans at New York's Times Square

2NE1 has stolen the hearts of 2,000 American fans with their live performance at Times Square in New York. The girls were recently deemed as the '2011 Best New Band in the World', and so to celebrate, they held a concert at the MTV studio downtown. Broadcast and streamed to fans worldwide, 2NE1 was ecstatically welcomed by thousands of New York fans. Kicking off with "Fire", the girls continued with "Can't Nobody" and "Lonely" before landing at "I Am the Best". After the live stages, the girls were formally crowned as the best new band in the world by MTV Iggy. 2NE1 stated, "We're just so glad that people recognize us and our name. Even if we speak different languages, we can still play and have fun together." Designer Jeremy Scott lent the girls his 2012 S/S collection for the concert, and even visited them on set to show his support. 2NE1 will be returning to Korea on December 14th.
