IU's JYP audition clip gains late attention

You may know that Kara's Goo Hara auditioned for JYP Entertainment back in 2007 and�2PM's Wooyoung was chosen the winner. But did you know that IU auditioned for this same competition when she was just a middle school student? IU debuted in 2008 under Loen Entertainment, but she auditioned for the Mgoon & JYP Audition in 2007 when she was still trying to debut. In her audition clip, IU seems like a shy and innocent middle school student with her short hair and innocent persona. However, when she opens her mouth to sing, she surprised everyone with her mature voice. In the interview clip after her audition, the interviewer said, "Your voice is not like a middle school student's. You're going to win using just your voice," and other flattering compliments. IU replied by saying, "Thank you. I will not give up, even if I don't make it here."
