Money itself becomes the source of physical superpowers in the brand new Netflix original series, 'Cashero'.
Based off of a popular webtoon series of the same name, 'Cashero' tells the story of a white-collar worker named Sang Ung (played by Lee Jun Ho), struggling to save up for ordinary life goals like marriage and a mortgage. One day, he discovers that he has superpowers - he gains superhuman strength depending on how much cash he has on him.
In order to save people from danger, Sang Ung must expend his money. His girlfriend Min Sook (played by Kim Hye Joon) firmly warns him, "We need to get married and buy a house. So no more superpowers!", but as fate would have it, Sang Ung is constantly thrust in situations where he needs to use his powers.
Soon, he learns that he's not the only guy around with superpowers. There's also Ho In (played by Kim Byung Chul), who can pass through anything if he drinks alcohol, and Eun Mi, (played by Kim Hyang Gi) a telekinetic whose powers rely on calorie intake.
Along with more interesting superpowers, there's also the Mundane Vanguard, an organization targeting those with unnatural superpowers, headed by Joanna (Kang Han Na), Jonathan (Lee Chae Min), and Jo Won Do (Kim Eui Sung).
Expect thrilling action, laughter, and thought-provoking social commentary, in Netflix's 'Cashero', premiering worldwide on December 26.
