Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for its upcoming eight-part music competition series 'KPOPPED,' a high-energy fusion of global pop and K-pop. The show stars Psy, the international sensation who brought “Gangnam Style” to the world stage, alongside three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion, who also serves as executive producer.
Produced by Lionel Richie and Miky Lee, 'KPOPPED' brings together some of the biggest names in Western music and top K-pop idols to reinterpret iconic songs in fresh, unexpected ways. The full season will premiere globally on Friday, August 29, exclusively on Apple TV+.
Hosted by actor and comedian Son Soojeong, known for her roles in 'Servant' and 'Search Party,' each episode pairs a Western music star with a celebrated K-pop group to reimagine one of their biggest hits. With only a limited time to rehearse, the artists present bold, collaborative performances in front of a live audience in Seoul. Viewers at the venue vote for the standout 'KPOPPED' stage of the night. Each episode wraps up with a final performance by the featured K-pop idols.
