Netflix has released the official trailer for its new documentary series 'The Echoes of Survivors: Inside Korea's Tragedies', the sequel to the 2023 series that shocked and angered viewers around the globe, 'In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal'.
'The Echoes of Survivors' delves into four major tragedies which shook the entirety of South Korea from the perspective of the survivors. Jo Sung Hyun PD, who helmed 'In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal', follows these four tragedies across 8 episodes - the ongoing legal battle between the victims and the leaders of the religious cult JMS (Providence), the human abuse endured by the survivors of the Busan Brothers Welfare Facility, the hidden details behind the murder factory established and run by the infamous Chijon family, and finally, the Sampoong Department Store collapse of 1995.
