Singer Jung Seung Hwan appeared as a guest on the February 7 broadcast of KBS2's 'The Seasons - Lee Young Ji's Rainbow' to officially report his discharge from mandatory military service!
On this episode, Jung Seung Hwan appeared while still dressed in his military uniform, singing his hit OST "If It Is You". Revealing that it has been exactly 20 days since his discharge, Jung Seung Hwan relayed, "Since I bid viewers farewell before my enlistment on 'The Seasons', I figured I should report my discharge here as well."
Regarding his time as a member of the ROK Army band, Jung Seung Hwan shared, "I was assigned to the position of vocal. I spent a lot of my time singing for military events. It's the first time in a while that I am singing in front of a civilian audience. But at the same time, I feel that this is where I belong."
The singer also pointed to MC Lee Young Ji and said, "You were born in 2002, right? Because I carried out my mandatory service duties late, I was there with younger boys your age. Some of them were my superiors. The army follows a rigid hierarchical structure. It was difficult to adjust to that structure at first."
Also on this episode, Jung Seung Hwan delighted fans with a hilarious girl group dance cover medley. He asked, "If I pull this medley off, can I change into civilian clothes and go back to being a singer?"
The singer then danced to aespa's "Whiplash", NMIXX's "Soñar (Breaker)", fromis_9's "Supersonic", aespa's "Supernova", and IVE's "Love Dive". He even performed an encore stage of "Love Dive" with another guest team from this day, IVE!
