Soyeon says her label was against (G)I-DLE's 'Nxde'

Soyeon revealed her label was against (G)I-DLE's "Nxde".

On the October 29th 'Knowing Brothers', Soyeon revealed the story behind (G)I-DLE's latest title song "Nxde". She shared, "The label was really against it because of the title," saying the group's agency said "Nxde" was too explicit and referred to an inappropriate word in English.

Soyeon continued, "After hearing that, I thought that I must release it. When someone says not to do it, it makes me want to do it more. It's because I didn't think 'Nxde' was a sexual word. We're all born nude. I wrote the song thinking that it's our barest form. I wanted to show that it wasn't a sexual word."
