'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' reveals first still cuts of special episode

'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' has revealed the first still cuts of the special episode.

The upcoming special episode 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' is an important piece of the mysterious puzzle behind the disease in the hit Netflix series 'Kingdom'. The 92-minute special will follow the story of Ashin (played by Jun Ji Hyun) whose village succumbs to the disease one day.

The still cuts below feature a young Ashin as well as Joseon soldiers sweeping the forest for threatening outsiders.

'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' premieres on Netflix on July 23.
