In a year when Los Angeles officially declared August 1 as KCON Day, KCON LA 2025 Presented by Olive Young returned to the LA Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena for another packed weekend of music, fandom, and interactive brand experiences. The programming felt familiar but refined, featuring a new convention layout, more fan engagement opportunities, and a concert lineup that balanced nostalgia with rising momentum.
The convention floor showcased a wide range of booths across beauty, fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle, with Olive Young anchoring the center of the hall. Attendees enjoyed skincare demos, curated photo installations, and limited sample drops throughout the day. Other beauty booths followed suit, offering quick consultations and trial stations for popular Korean brands.
In the K-Beauty and K-Food Zones, fans explored product displays and interactive elements highlighting everything from toner textures to regional flavor maps. Brands like Bibigo made a splash with immersive games, photo walls, and even take-home food samples.
The Meet & Greet and Artist Stages featured back-to-back appearances throughout the weekend. Fans lined up early for intimate sessions with groups and artists like NMIXX, Lee Youngji, and ZEROBASEONE, while the Artist Stage hosted special live sets from newcomers and returning favorites. Highlights included performances by Hwasa, MEOVV, and CRAVITY. Navigating the packed schedule required quick cross-hall transitions, but the lineup made the effort worth it.
Each night concluded with an M Countdown concert inside Crypto.com Arena. Shows followed a familiar format: newer groups opened the night, followed by established acts closing it out. This year’s concert series featured even more special stages with collaborative performances and exciting covers of beloved K-pop hits.
The concert lineup was stacked with fan favorites, fresh debuts, and some unexpectedly touching surprises. Three-time KCON LA veterans ZEROBASEONE performed all three days, proving their headliner status with high-energy sets and a standout special stage featuring Hanbin and Lee Youngji. Their surprise dance collaboration became a crowd favorite. Other special stages, like YUQI and Zhang Hao’s duet, added depth and helped the lineup feel more like a curated celebration rather than a checklist of acts.
NCT 127 and MONSTA X anchored their respective nights with the seasoned stage presence that only years of touring can bring. Meanwhile, newer acts like IS:SUE, MEOVV, and NOWZ delivered polished early sets that grabbed attention. Artists such as aespa, RIIZE, and IVE landed comfortably in the middle of the lineup, balancing top-tier production with fan connection that had the arena on its feet. From Jackson Wang’s theatrical set to HWX’s rare subunit moment, the weekend left a lasting impression by mixing big hits with genuinely emotional moments.
