Woman attempts to jump from 19th floor building in Gangnam, rescued by police mere seconds before her jump

Authorities responded to an incident in which a woman attempted to jump from a 19-story officetel building in Gangnam.

According to the fire department, on May 2, a report was received at around 1:35 PM stating that a woman was attempting to jump from the 19th floor of an officetel located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Upon receiving the report, firefighters rushed to the scene and deployed an air mattress nearby as a precaution.

After about 1 hour and 40 minutes of persuasion efforts by the police and fire officials, the woman was safely rescued at approximately 3:18 PM. The police were able to grab her mere moments before her jump and bring her to safety.
