The courts also sentenced the woman's brother-in-law to time in prison on a separate charge.
On September 23, the Incheon District Court sentenced 27-year-old 'A,' who was indicted for murder and child abuse, to four years in prison and the compulsory completion of a 200-hour long child abuse prevention program.
The courts also sentenced 51-year-old 'B' to 8 years and six months in prison, the completion of an 80-hour long sexual assault prevention program in addition to the completion of a 200-hour long child abuse prevention program. 'B' had been indicted for raping his sister-in-law 'A' multiple times.
During the final trial that progressed this past August 29, the prosecution had recommended for the courts to sentence 'A' to 13 years and 'B' to 10 years in prison.
