According to OSEN on March 24, Roh Yoon Seo and Lee Chae Min have been confirmed as the lead actors in the upcoming drama 'My Reason to Die.'
The series is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by writer YUJU, which ran on Naver Webtoon from 2021 to 2023 and won widespread acclaim for its delicate portrayal of the emotional journeys of its main characters.
'My Reason to Die' tells a romantic story with a time-travel twist, following high school senior Nam Ji Oh, a taekwondo athlete preparing for the national selection tournament, and Cha Gyeol, a mysterious and charismatic figure. Roh Yoon Seo will play Nam Ji Oh, who suffers an injury while training for the tournament and meets Cha Gyeol during his recovery, gradually feeling drawn to him.
Roh Yoon Seo made her acting debut in tvN’s 'Our Blues' in 2022, impressing audiences with her remarkable performance as a rookie actress. She later won the Best New Actress award at the '59th Baeksang Arts Awards' for her role in 'Crash Course in Romance,' and has continued to establish her presence on the big screen with films such as '20th Century Girl' and 'Cheongseol,' winning accolades in the film category as well.
Meanwhile, Lee Chae Min, who gained popularity through the hit series 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,' has been confirmed to play the male lead Cha Gyeol. The pairing of these rising young stars has already generated high expectations among fans and the industry alike.
