TWICE member Dahyun temporarily suspended her activities after being diagnosed with an ankle fracture.
On February 11, JYP Entertainment released an official statement through TWICE’s social media accounts regarding Dahyun’s health condition and upcoming schedule.
The agency stated, “After experiencing discomfort in her ankle during the early part of the first leg of the tour, Dahyun continued to receive treatment while in the United States. Upon returning to Korea, she underwent a thorough medical examination and was diagnosed with a fracture.”
JYP further explained the decision behind her absence from upcoming performances. “Considering the nature of flights and concerts, which involve continuous walking, movement across stages, and performing choreography that could place significant strain on the injured area, we engaged in thorough discussions with the artist and medical professionals. Prioritizing her health above all else, it has been decided that Dahyun will not participate in the North American tour dates scheduled from February 13 to March 7.”
TWICE is currently in the midst of a large-scale world tour spanning 43 regions and 78 shows globally. This year, the group is scheduled to hold 35 performances across 20 cities in North America, three shows each in Taipei and Tokyo, and 11 concerts in eight European cities.
Fans have expressed their support for Dahyun’s recovery and are hoping for her healthy return to the stage.
