Comedian Park Na Rae, who is currently under police investigation over allegations of mistreating her manager, has reportedly requested a delay in her scheduled police appearance.
According to reports on the 11th, Park Na Rae, who had been scheduled to appear at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul at 2:30 p.m. on the 12th, submitted a request to postpone her attendance.
The reason given was concern over large crowds potentially gathering at the police station, raising safety issues. It was also confirmed that Park Na Rae conveyed that she would have difficulty undergoing questioning on the 12th due to health related reasons.
Previously, Park Na Rae’s former managers filed complaints against her at the Gangnam Police Station on charges including aggravated assault, defamation, and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act related to defamation. Police are also reviewing matters connected to the so called “Injection Aunt” issue that surfaced during the process of the former managers exposing the alleged abuse. A total of seven cases related to Park Na Rae are currently under investigation, with six being handled by the Gangnam Police Station.
The remaining case is being investigated by the Yongsan Police Station, where Park Na Rae filed complaints against her former managers on charges such as attempted extortion and occupational embezzlement.
