
MBC’s Friday–Saturday drama 'The Judge Returns' (written by Kim Kwang Min, directed by Lee Jae Jin, and Park Mi Yeon) is being re-released as a television movie.
On February 16, MBC announced, “'The Judge Returns' will be scheduled as a two-part TV movie airing on the 16th and 17th. The edited version focuses on the drama’s core narrative.”
Part 1 will cover episodes 1 through 8, centering on Lee Han Young (played by Ji Sung) as he strategically approaches Kang Shin Jin (played by Park Hee Soon), the mastermind behind a web of corruption.
Part 2 condenses episodes 9 through 14. Lee Han Young joins forces with Prosecutor Kim Jin Ah (played by Won Jin Ah) and reporter Song Na Yeon (played by Baek Jin Hee) to pursue Kang Shin Jin’s crimes.
'The Judge Returns' is a time-travel fantasy drama that follows a judge who returns to the past after an unjust death and sets out to deliver justice to evildoers.
The series captivated viewers with its bold portrayal of justice in every episode. It premiered with a 4.3% viewership rating and doubled to surpass 10% by episode five. The drama concluded with its highest rating of 14.9%. In the finale, Lee Han Young apprehended Kang Shin Jin and sentenced him to death.
Part 1 of 'The Judge Returns' TV movie airs on February 16 at 1:40 PM, followed by Part 2 on February 17 at 2:45 PM.
