Singer Lyn claimed the final victory after unveiling a duet version of “The Wind Blows” with ZO ZAZZ on Immortal Songs.
The 742nd episode of KBS2’s Immortal Songs, which aired on January 31, featured the “2026 Oh My Star” special and delivered a fierce showdown among top-tier performers. The broadcast recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 5.4%. A total of ten genre-defining teams took the stage, including Aiki X Leehai, Park Jin-joo X Min Kyung-ah, Lim Han-byul X HYNN (Park Hye-won), Jung Seung-hwan X Jongho (ATEEZ), and Lyn X ZO ZAZZ, drawing major attention from viewers.
The special episode also marked the return of WOODZ, who previously sparked a chart reversal phenomenon through Immortal Songs. Appearing on the show for the first time in two years, WOODZ shared, “Not long ago, I was even nominated for first place on music shows. Thanks to that, I experienced moments I never imagined in my life,” expressing gratitude for the meaningful return.

The opening stage was delivered by Aiki X Leehai, who chose Kim Wan-sun’s “Pierrot Smiles at Us.” Their surprise entrance from the judges’ seats ignited the venue, while their musical-like staging, strong vocals, and explosive dance break showcased unexpected vocal prowess. Jung Seung-hwan praised the performance, saying, “I had no idea their singing was this strong. It felt like watching a complete show.” They secured the first win of the night.
Next, Park Jin-joo X Min Kyung-ah reinterpreted WOODZ’s “Drowning,” transforming the original rock sound into rich harmonies filled with clarity and emotional depth. WOODZ himself complimented the performance, noting its refreshing reinterpretation. However, Aiki X Leehai held onto their winning streak.

The tide shifted with Lim Han-byul X HYNN, who delivered a powerful rendition of Kim Bum-soo’s “Last Love.” Their flawless vocal control and emotional exchange earned them a decisive win, halting Aiki X Leehai’s run. Jongho reacted in awe, saying, “I couldn’t close my mouth the entire time.”
Jung Seung-hwan X Jongho (ATEEZ) followed with IU’s “My Sea,” offering a restrained yet deeply comforting performance. Their warm harmonies, paired with orchestral arrangements and butterfly stage effects, created a dreamlike atmosphere. Despite high praise, Lim Han-byul X HYNN continued their streak.
The first half concluded with Lyn X ZO ZAZZ, who chose Lee Sora’s “The Wind Blows.” Lynn’s delicate tone anchored the song, while ZO ZAZZ’s raw, emotionally charged voice added depth and tension. Singing face to face, the duo delivered a restrained yet deeply immersive performance reminiscent of a black-and-white film scene. Park Jin-joo commented, “I’m so grateful I got to hear this live today.”
Ultimately, Lyn and ZO ZAZZ stopped Lim Han-byul and HYNN’s three-win streak, securing the final victory of Part 1 and closing the special with a resonant, emotional triumph.
