Girl group I.O.I is set to return to the music scene in celebration of their 10th debut anniversary.
On the 23rd, agency Swing Entertainment announced that I.O.I has confirmed a comeback in May and is currently preparing a new album. The agency will take full charge of the group’s management and oversee all promotional activities as part of the special 10th anniversary project.

This comeback marks I.O.I’s first group activity in approximately nine years since 2017 and serves as a reunion to commemorate their 10th anniversary. The members have consistently expressed their desire to reunite in various interviews over the years, and after lengthy discussions, they have decided to come together once again. However, Kang Mina and Kyulkyung will not be able to participate due to prior schedule commitments, and the group will promote as a nine member lineup.
I.O.I was formed through public voting on Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’ in 2016 and officially debuted in May of the same year. Starting with their debut track “Dream Girls,” the group went on to release multiple hit songs including “Very Very Very” and “Downpour,” dominating major music charts.
The group solidified their presence by winning Rookie of the Year awards at major ceremonies such as the Golden Disc Awards and the Seoul Music Awards. Beyond music, they gained popularity through various variety show appearances before officially concluding their activities with a concert in January 2017.
