Former B2ST member Jang Hyun Seung (37) has apologized to a fan who was hurt by what she described as his insincere attitude in the past.
On February 16 KST, a video titled ‘Jang Hyun Seung Has Changed [Jang Hyun Seung A/S Fan Signing Event Ep. 2]’ was released on the YouTube channel MMTG. In the episode, Jang Hyun Seung held a special “A/S” fan signing event for fans who have supported him for many years.
Before the event officially began, several longtime fans appeared on set. Among them, the person who drew the most attention was a woman identified as Ms. A, who had previously shared her story under the nickname “Come Here” about attending one of Jang Hyun Seung’s past fan signings.
Ms. A revealed that she had saved money for a year as a middle school student to attend the event. At the time, she asked him, “Oppa, are you tired?” and received only a short reply: “Yes.” She confessed that the brief response left her deeply hurt.
“I was 15 at the time. After that, I never went to another fan signing,” she said. “He was the first singer I ever liked, and also the last.” Jang Hyun Seung scratched his head awkwardly and looked off into the distance, drawing laughter.
However, the two had already reconciled through Instagram direct messages. Ms. A explained, “My story was featured on ‘MMTG,’ so I sent him a DM, and he replied the very next day.”
The revealed message contained Jang Hyun Seung’s heartfelt apology. He wrote, “I was someone who was far from you yet always close, but I treated you worse than a stranger. I regret it. A lot. I hope we can meet again, even by chance. More than chance, I hope it’s fate.”
To commemorate their reunion, Ms. A asked to take a selfie with the caption, “We made up.” Jang Hyun Seung gladly agreed, and the two posed together, making finger hearts for the camera.
At the end of the event, Ms. A asked him the same question from years ago: “Are you tired?” This time, Jang Hyun Seung responded energetically, “No, I’m in great condition today. I’m fully recharged.” Ms. A smiled brightly at his noticeably changed demeanor.
Born in 1989, Jang Hyun Seung debuted in 2009 as a member of BEAST. In 2011, he also promoted as part of the unit group Trouble Maker with singer HyunA. In 2016, he left the team following controversy over his attitude and later enlisted in the military in 2018. After completing his service, he has drawn attention for his refreshed and more vibrant image.
