Min Hee Jin, CEO of ooak records and former head of ADOR, drew attention not only for her bold legal proposal but also for the identity of the man who stood by her side during a brief yet impactful press conference.

On the afternoon of February 25, Min held a press conference at Challenge Hall in Jongno-gu, Seoul, stating that she would announce the outcome of the first trial in her lawsuit seeking payment related to a stock transaction, as well as outline her future plans.

During the event, Min read a prepared statement revealing that she had won the first trial. In a surprising move, she proposed waiving the 25.6 billion KRW (approximately 19 million USD) she is entitled to receive as a result of the ruling, on the condition that HYBE cease all ongoing legal disputes against her.

From entrance to exit, the press conference lasted less than ten minutes. After reading her statement, which contained the unprecedented proposal, Min left the venue swiftly without holding a separate Q&A session.

As she exited the stage, attention shifted to the man who accompanied her and assisted with her departure. The individual was revealed to be choreographer BLACK.Q. BLACK.Q gained public recognition in 2022 after appearing with the dance crew EO-DDAE on 'Street Man Fighter.' Previously, he served as a performance director under ADOR and played a key role in choreographing major hits for NewJeans, including “Cookie,” “OMG,” and “Super Shy.”

In May 2024, when plagiarism allegations arose regarding similarities in choreography involving ILLIT, the performance directors responsible for NewJeans’ choreography indirectly expressed their stance. Known by fans as the “father of NewJeansfor overseeing most of the group’s choreography, BLACK.Q wrote at the time, “I endured with thoughts of ‘surely not,’ but I never imagined it would extend even to commercial choreography,” adding, “The process someone goes through to create something is never easy, and it’s disheartening to see that effort reflected in this way.”

More recently, BLACK.Q updated his social media profile to include the account of ooak records, founded by Min Hee Jin, signaling his official affiliation with the label and reaffirming his continued support for her.
