The agency of actor Kim Seon Ho, who is facing tax evasion allegations, has released an additional statement regarding his one-person corporation.
On February 4th KST, his agency Fantagio stated, “Kim Seon Ho established a corporation in January 2024 for acting activities and theater production. From the time the corporation was established in January 2024 until a new contract with Fantagio began in February 2025, settlement payments for his activities were received through that corporation.”
They continued, “After recognizing that the operation of the corporation itself could lead to misunderstandings, operations were halted, and for more than the past year, virtually no activities have taken place through the corporation. Since the exclusive contract between Fantagio and Kim Seon Ho began in February 2025, settlement payments have been made directly to the actor as an individual. We clearly state that there is no connection between the corporation and the contract or activities between Fantagio and Kim Seon Ho.”
The agency also said, “As a preemptive measure to correct what he now recognizes was uninformed management of the corporation, Kim Seon Ho returned all past corporate card usage, family salaries, and the corporate vehicle. For amounts previously settled through the corporation, he has additionally paid personal income tax on top of the corporate tax already paid. The corporation is currently undergoing closure procedures, and the administrative process is expected to conclude soon.”
Finally, they added, “Kim Seon Ho deeply reflects on having established and maintained the corporation for about a year without sufficient understanding of corporate management. He bows his head in apology.”
Earlier, Kim Seon Ho had been embroiled in tax evasion suspicions. Reports alleged that he established a corporation in January 2024 with family members listed as executives and engaged in tax evasion by paying personnel expenses and using a corporate card for personal purposes.
In an initial statement, Fantagio said, “Kim Seon Ho is active under an exclusive contract with Fantagio under his personal name and is faithfully complying with all legal and tax procedures related to his current contractual relationship and activities. We clearly state that there are no issues related to Kim Seon Ho’s contract or activities with Fantagio.”
Fantagio previously explained that the one-person corporation Kim Seon Ho had established was intended for theater production and related activities, not for intentional tax reduction or evasion. They also stated that after he transferred to Fantagio, the corporation did not engage in business activities and is now in the process of closure.
However, controversy grew after further reports claimed that Kim Seon Ho had received part of his entertainment activity settlement payments through that corporation. Fantagio responded that these payments were received temporarily after the corporation’s establishment, while a representative of his former agency said they simply transferred funds to the account requested by the actor.
Meanwhile, Kim Seon Ho is set to appear in upcoming projects such as ‘Delusion,’ ‘Unfriend,’ and ‘The Congressman Is Watching.’
