Rapper DinDin is heading back to Canada, where he once studied abroad.
On February 20, a video titled '[Breaking News] We’re Going to Canada' was uploaded to DinDin’s YouTube channel. DinDin explained, “We initially received an email from the Canadian Tourism Board, so we were planning to go to Canada. However, since the tourism board is not operated in Korea and the headquarters are in Canada, the back and forth communication took too long and everything was pushed back. So we decided to go on our own. This is the first time we’re opening up about it. We are planning to leave independently in April.”
He added, “We’re planning to create a lot of great content there, but we will need a lot of help from you. Please support us.” Regarding his plans in Canada, DinDin shared, “First, I’ll be meeting Amin, a friend. We also have a special guest for this trip. It’s my older sister. I asked her how she felt about appearing again, and she was worried that people might not like her showing up on the channel so often. But after seeing one of her recent appearance videos surpass one million views, she got excited and decided to join as a special guest.”
He continued, “We’re planning to visit my high school and go back to restaurants I used to frequent. I even remember the location of the house where my first love lived. If there’s anything you would like us to do in Canada, please leave a comment. We will use your suggestions to plan our route.”
After hesitating briefly, DinDin candidly added, “To be honest, I’m not sure if I can say this so openly, but we need sponsors,” openly requesting PPL opportunities. Mentioning airlines, fashion brands, and underwear brands, DinDin also brought up drug testing kits. “You know those drug testing kits? Just in case people become suspicious when I return from Canada, I think it would be good to actually show myself taking a drug test and prove that there is no problem,” he said.
He even jokingly requested advertisements for self-defense products, saying, “If we walk around East Hastings, it’s quite dangerous, so we’ll need some self-defense items such as pepper spray. If we cannot get any self-defense gear, at least send pepper. I’ll mix it with water or something,” drawing laughter.
