Choo Sung Hoon spoke candidly about his views on relationships, addressing a provocative question involving his wife, Yano Shiho, during his appearance on a new variety show.
On the February 2 premiere of SBS’s new entertainment program 'Uh But Like Seriously,' Choo Sang Hoon appeared as the first guest.
During the broadcast, Lee Sang Min started the conversation about Choo Sang Hoon's wife, saying, “I got to meet Yano Shiho just a few days ago (on another show) and got the chance to ask her if she ever thought about divorce. She replied, 'All the time, all the time, all the time.' What are your thoughts on your wife's response?" Choo Sung Hoon replied, "If she thinks about divorce all the time, all the time, then I must think the same." Tak Jae Hoon chimed in, "Don't act so tough," making everyone in the studio laugh.
Lee Sang Min then added, “There's been news that said Yano Shiho said, ‘Choo Sung Hoon is too busy. I need a boyfriend.’” Choo Sang Hoon responded calmly, saying, “That would be nice. Having a friend like that makes life more fun for my wife, too.”

Kai reacted in surprise, commenting that it sounded like she was expressing loneliness. Choo replied, “Everyone has to live their own life. Having coffee, eating meals, and having drinks.” He made it clear that he was fine with his wife having male friends.
Kai then added, "her comment might really mean, 'you’re too busy - work a little less and spend more time with me'." However, Choo Sang Hoon jokingly responded, “Then we’d have no money. I need money. If I only earn a little, if I only bring home a little, she gets mad,” drawing laughter from the studio once again.
Turning the question around, Kai asked Lee Sang Min whether he would understand if his wife said she needed a male friend. Lee Sang Min, who recently remarried, reacted strongly, saying, “Sorry, but absolutely not. I don’t believe in the term ‘male friend’ at all.”
'Uh But Like Seriously' is a character-based talk variety show hosted by Tak Jae Hoon, Lee Sang Min, Lee Soo Ji, and EXO’s Kai. The MCs transform into characters from different fictional worlds to engage in conversation, with each episode promising bold concepts that aim to break away from the conventions of traditional talk shows.
