Lunar New Year, the nation’s biggest holiday, is just around the corner. This year’s holiday begins on Saturday and runs from February 14th to 18th, creating a five day “golden holiday.”
Ahead of the festive break, idols under the so called “Big 4” entertainment agencies — HYBE, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment — shared their plans for the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday.

◆ HYBE: Time to Recharge
After a busy year, most HYBE artists plan to spend the holiday resting and recharging.
LE SSERAFIM shared, “We wrapped up our world tour with the Seoul encore concert. After running nonstop for the past year, we plan to spend this Lunar New Year with our families, enjoy nourishing food, and recharge our energy!”
BOYNEXTDOOR added, “We’re looking forward to spending quality time with our families, enjoying delicious food, and getting plenty of rest. We’ll come back happily recharged! Happy New Year, and we hope you have a joyful Lunar New Year holiday!”
ILLIT also shared, “This Lunar New Year, we plan to spend time with our loved ones and enjoy a rare moment of relaxation. We hope you enjoy good food and share meaningful conversations during this warm holiday. Starting with our first tour, ‘ILLIT LIVE PRESS START︎’, in March and leading up to our next album, we’ll continue to work hard, so please look forward to our journey. We’ll always strive to show our best with grateful hearts!”
TWS revealed, “We plan to spend precious time with our families and recharge during the Lunar New Year holiday. Some members will enjoy good food and rest at home, while others are planning family trips. After spending a warm and healthy holiday in our own ways, we’ll greet you again with even better side of ourselves!”
Meanwhile, some teams are focusing on upcoming releases. KATSEYE stated, “We’ll be concentrating on preparing for our comeback this Lunar New Year. After receiving so much love for our debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’, we’re doing our very best. We’ll return with an album filled with our team’s unique colors, so please look forward to it. ◆ SM Town: Kicking Off the Holiday With Performances
SM artists will meet fans on the very first day of the holiday, February 14th, at the SMTOWN Bangkok concert. The lineup includes Hyoyeon, Minho, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, aespa, RIIZE, NCT WISH, Hearts2Hearts, Seunghan and Soul, and SMTR25, bringing together a full roster of SM artists.
NCT Taeyong will also stay busy during the holiday with his 2026 TAEYONG CONCERT ‘TY TRACK - REMASTERED’ in Yokohama on February 16th and 17th.
On the final day of the break, February 18th, RIIZE will release their second Japanese single, ‘All of You,’ locally.

◆ JYP: Time for Fans and Family
ITZY will kick off the Lunar New Year festivities with fans, holding their third world tour Seoul concert, ‘TUNNEL VISION’, at Jamsil Indoor Stadium from February 13th to 15th.
KickFlip will both rest and prepare for their fan concert tour, ‘2026 KickFlip FAN-CON From KickFlip, To WeFlip’, with upcoming performances in Cheongju on the 21st and Daegu on the 28th.
Xdinary Heroes plan to spend the holiday resting with their families, and NEXZ members also intend to take time off during the break.

◆ YG: TREASURE Regroups, BABYMONSTER Rests
After concluding their Japan tour with ‘2025-26 TREASURE TOUR PULSE ON’ at Kyocera Dome Osaka, TREASURE will focus on regrouping ahead of their Asia tour beginning in March.
BABYMONSTER, who recently experienced a resurgence in popularity with ‘Really Like You’ from their first full length album ‘DRIP’, plan to take a well deserved rest during the holiday.
