Boy group WHIB is set to make a full-group comeback with their first-ever mini album.
WHIB (Kim Junmin, Ha Seung, Jin Beom, Yu Geon, Lee Jeong, Jaeha, and Wonjun) will release their first mini album, ‘ROCK THE NATION,’ sometime in January, marking their official return to the music scene.
At midnight on January 14, a coming-soon teaser video announcing the release of 'ROCK THE NATION' was unveiled via WHIB’s official social media accounts and YouTube channel. The video opens with a gray-toned cityscape and destroyed buildings, followed by a television screen filled with static, drawing attention with its dystopian mood. Moments later, the bold phrase “WE ROCK THE NATION” appears on the screen, followed by the album title, heightening anticipation for the group’s new release.
ROCK THE NATION is WHIB’s first comeback since reorganizing as a seven-member group. The group previously revealed plans for a January comeback during their Asia fan concert tour ‘AnD : New Chapter,’ held from November last year through January this year across five cities—Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Osaka, and Taipei—further fueling excitement among global fans.
WHIB debuted in 2023 with their first single album Cut-Out and has since released a series of single albums including 'ETERNAL YOUTH : KICK IT', 'Rush of Joy', and 'BANG OUT'. Through each release, the group showcased polished performances and a wide-ranging musical spectrum. They also gained attention for presenting distinct concepts through different key colors each era, earning recognition as a “well-rounded idol group” with limitless potential.
Entering their third year since debut, WHIB aims to demonstrate significant artistic growth through their first mini album. Last year, members Kim Junmin, Lee Jeong, and Wonjun appeared on Mnet’s survival program 'BOYS II PLANET', leaving a strong impression on K-pop fans with their skills. Following the show, WHIB further solidified their full-group synergy through their fan concert tour, strengthening their global fandom.
