Former SONAMOO member and actress Nahyun shared the news of her pregnancy before announcing her wedding.
On March 14, Nahyun revealed the news through her social media account, writing, “While preparing for our wedding, a precious gift came to us first.” With this message, she personally confirmed that she is expecting a child.
She explained that she had been spending time carefully before sharing the news. “I wanted to wait until things were more stable, so I’m only now sharing this update,” she wrote. “Although the order of events is a little different from what we expected, it feels like an even more special beginning for us.” Her message expressed both excitement and gratitude as she prepares for a new chapter in her life.
Nahyun also mentioned that the couple plans to take their time with wedding preparations. “We’ll probably hold the wedding about a year from now,” she added. “I would be grateful if you could bless us with warm support.”
Along with the announcement, she shared several photos, including a baby ultrasound image, a pregnancy test, baby items, and a maternity badge. The symbolic items celebrating the arrival of a new life captured the joy and anticipation of Nahyun as she prepares to become a mother.
Nahyun first gained public attention in 2013 after appearing in the music video for SECRET’s “I Do I Do,” and later as the female lead in B.A.P’s “1004 (Angel)” music video. In 2015, she officially debuted as a member of the girl group SONAMOO, where she was active as a lead dancer and vocalist.
She later transitioned into acting, beginning in earnest with the 2016 web drama 'The Miracle.' Nahyun continued to build her acting career with leading roles in productions such as 'I Started Following Romance' on Olleh TV and 'Café Kilimanjaro' on Naver TV.
More recently, she appeared in the tvN drama 'Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938,' portraying the courtesan character Nancho from Myoyeongak, where she showcased deeper and more mature acting skills.
