Girl group UNIS has begun reaching out to global fans ahead of their debut North and South America tour.
On January 28 at midnight KST, UNIS (Jin Hyun Joo, Nana, Gehlee Dangca, Kotoko, Bang Yunha, Elisia, Oh Yoona, Lim Seowon) released the English version of their second Japanese digital single “mwah…” through various online music platforms.
“mwah…” was originally released in December last year as UNIS’s second Japanese digital single. At the time, the group’s signature lovely charm and upbeat melody captivated listeners in both Korea and Japan.
The English version maintains the original song’s mood while featuring newly written lyrics, further broadening its appeal to global listeners. Its release is especially meaningful as it comes just ahead of UNIS’s first-ever Americas tour, “2026 UNIS 1ST TOUR : Ever Last.”
UNIS will premiere the English version performance of “mwah…” during the tour. The eight members aim to connect with local fans through music that transcends language barriers and solidify their position as rising global artists.
“mwah…” is UNIS’s signature love song that honestly and cutely expresses the excitement, possessiveness, and anxiety of falling in love. Upon release, the track topped the iTunes J-pop charts in Ireland, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines, and also ranked highly on iTunes charts in Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Australia, and Canada, proving its strong global impact.
UNIS will kick off “2026 UNIS 1ST TOUR : Ever Last” in Philadelphia on the 30th (local time). The group will then meet fans across a total of 14 cities, including Washington D.C., Charlotte, Atlanta, Jacksonville, New York, Cleveland, Chicago, Ottawa, Dallas, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Mexico City, and Los Angeles.
